Ages 8-14
A basic introduction to the violin, viola, cello & string bass. In this 12-week semester, each instrument will be the focus of instruction for a three week period. Through this experience students are given chance to dip their toes into the world of strings without a long-term commitment. Students who enjoy the program are encouraged to deepen their exposure through String Orchestra I.

Ages 8-14
A basic introduction to the flute, clarinet, trumpet and alto saxophone. In this 12-week session, we will spend three weeks on each instrument, just enough time for students to get a basic understanding of simple techniques. At the end of the semester students should have a feel for whether a band instrument is a good fit for them. If interested in pursuing the band experience, students are encouraged to progress to Concert Band I.

 Ages 8-16
Prerequisite: Orchestra-Instrument Introduction or 3 months of private lessons. For most, this string orchestra ensemble will be a student’s first experience in a group ensemble setting. Participants will be led by a professional instructor and will work together to learn and perform entry level orchestral material.

Participants will be led by a professional instructor and will work together to learn and perform entry level band material.

Ages 6-9
Our Musical Voyager - Homeschool Edition class is a weekly 45 minute small group class that focuses on three areas of music: piano, music theory and instrument playing. Each week time is split evenly between learning piano, music theory basics and instrumental exploration through hands-on trial. This is a great starter class to get kids interested and motivated to participate in music.
